I’m sure everyone has seen the new Weight Watchers campaign starring the amazingly fine Jennifer Hudson. Don’t get me wrong I think Jennifer was so beautiful with the weight (big girl bias) but she looks absolutely stunning. What an amazing way for Weight Watchers to not only bust out their new points plus system, bring in a new year…but to do this together with an amazing talent, inspiration such as Jennifer Hudson and roll this into an economy where people are looking for the boost in self confidence and spirit.

This was even enough kick in the butt for me to join up. So this will be a new journey and addition to my blog.

My new years resolutions?

Gain a better sense of self. In every way, physically healthier, within my soul and financially sound.

Get back to the things I love. Yes I’ve not only picked my viola back up but joined the local orchestra and redesigned this blog, Yay for the new template.

Take more time for family.

Lastly a personal goal to not only do a push to better myself but take on the challenge of helping a friend.

A very obtainable list. My motto for the year ….”No Excuses”

I’ve been nose to the ground busy for some time now, both with work and family. But honestly I’ve been like a dog on the hunt and not coming up till I get to the end. Where is the end? Is there and end? Well honestly I hope not…but I needed to come up for air.

So I’m on a much needed vacation in Amsterdam. Is there really a better place on earth to get away from it all? NOPE I just woke up one day a few weeks ago and decided I needed time away. Away from work and away from the family to a place where I could clear my head and step back for a moment to look at the big picture.

I honestly couldn’t think of a better time of the year to collect myself. Getting the chance to carefully look over the entire year just before I leap into ’09 with both feet. So after a fun filled week of sight-seeing, boat tours through the canals, a fun trip to the redlight district (details omitted), lots of amazing food and time spent with friends, I’m chilling in my hotel thinking over my year. Where I’ve been, what goals I’ve completed /not completed, and where I see myself next year. I will say it’s been a hell of a year. And if anyone told me I’d have worked with some stellar clients over at The Advance Guard, I would have called them crazy. It’s all gone by so fast and I just keep the balls running to the next and next and I think now taking a minute to stop and breath I’m honestly impressed with what I’ve managed to complete this year, both professionally and personally.

So looking towards 2009 I’ve written a list of last years achievments and next years goals. I’m thankful for all the amazing people I cross paths with everyday, and toast you all for a prosperous 2009.

…flickr pics should be up soon.

I know I’ve been uber quite for a bit too long. But we’re working on this really fun project with Verizon’s My Home 2.0 team that I just had to blab about.

Teddy is reminiscent of that talking bear back in the 80′s that I always wanted but could never convince my parents to buy me. So I’ll admit I’ve had a soft spot for him/her (we’re still not quite sure) since the start.

After a geek style transformation by the My Home 2.0 Gurus Alison and Lloyd, Teddy sits on his perch and tweets those he follows. Cool huh. ;)

Follow Teddy’s story http://2pointhome.com/teddy

The best part though. He’s up for auction with all the proceeds going to the Homeless Children’s Education Fund.
